Livestation Brings Live TV To The iPhone
Content delivery network Akamai has announced that its partner and live
TV provider www.livestation.com
has launched its streaming video solution that allows any broadcaster to
deliver free TV to the iPhone.
Livestation is demonstrating two applications which stream live TV news
over both 3G and Wi-Fi connections. The company wants to help broadcasters
build branded mobile applications and then sell them via the iTunes App Store
as the broadcaster’s own.
Livestation’s current broadcast partners include the BBC, Bloomberg Television, C-SPAN, France 24, and Democratic Voice of Burma.
